Since InfoCision was founded in 1982, it has embodied the meaning of community involvement. We put a lot of thought into choosing locations for our call centers and once we move into a community, we are fully committed to it.
Every year InfoCision and its employees donate hundreds of thousands of dollars and countless volunteer hours to the causes we support. In 2005, employees raised more than $59,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief, which InfoCision triple-matched with a corporate donation for a total of nearly $240,000.
In 2007, InfoCision employees donated more than $7,200 and volunteered their time to sponsor a Feed The Children food drop in Youngstown, Ohio that helped to feed 400 families. In addition, InfoCision Founder and Chairman Gary Taylor and his wife, Karen, made a $10 million donation to The University of Akron to fund its new football stadium, InfoCision Stadium. The $61-million stadium opened its doors for the 2009 season and is one of the nicest facilities in the country.
In 2009, InfoCision employees logged thousands of hours participating in and attending events such as The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, American Red Cross blood drives, the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. In addition, InfoCision hosted its 11th annual American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life for the first time at its corporate campus. More than 250 employees participated to support the fight against cancer. InfoCision employees also raised more that $4,000 through donations and President and CEO Carl Albright contributed a generous gift of $5,000 bringing the company’s overall philanthropy to nearly $10,000.
We are also actively involved with area universities such as Marshall University, Youngstown State University and The University of Akron. In 2004, Gary donated more than $3.5 million to fund the development of The University of Akron Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing. The only undergraduate program of its kind in the country, the Taylor Institute will mold the next generation of direct marketers.
As you can see, community involvement is very important to us. Our employees have the biggest hearts in the business and it is their dedication that makes InfoCision different. |
